POLYCONICS

Polyconic projection is a map projection on which the meridians of normal aspect are mapped as curves symmetrical about the straight central meridian, and parallels as nonconcentric circular arcs with centres on the central meridian.
There are different polyconic projections. One of them is the American polyconic projection.
